You have a great website, and you want to tell the world about it. You can advertise your website on different websites, including search engines. A few web hosting companies give you advertising credits you can use to advertise for free on a couple of networks.

A few web hosting companies offer advertising credits on different networks. Be warned: these credits usually apply to new accounts only. If you already have an advertising account with on of these networks, you will not be able to use the credits.

These credits allow you place ads on website to attracts vistiors to your website. The most well known network is Adwords from Google. You can bid on keywords to display your ads on the Google search engine, or on websites related to those keywords.

Google Adwords

Adwords is the most popular advertising program. It allows you to place your ads on the search engine, or on websites that applied to the Adsense program.

Being the most popular program means being the most competitive as well: keywords are more expensive since your are competing with more people.

Yahoo Search Marketing

Yahoo Search Marketing is a cheaper alternative to Google Adwords. Keywords are less expensive, so it is cheaper to get on the first page of the Yahoo search engine. If your plan does not include credits for Yahoo, you can use this special offer:
